Head of Marketing, Full-Time Position

Preference given to applicants with experience is SaaS-based marketing. Local candidates preferred, but for the right candidate MyMedLeads will consider remote work.

MyMedLeads is seeking a creative and highly analytical marketer with proven experience as a B2B marketing leader. Located in Austin, MyMedLeads is a medical lead management software company positioned for high growth in the coming years. A successful candidate will have experience in a similar role in at least one other SaaS business (with similar properties and opportunities as MyMedLeads – e.g., deal sizes, sales cycles, etc…). The Head of Marketing will bring their strategic vision and innovative approach to help us launch and scale the new version of our software, MyMedLeads 2nd Generation.

Why Do We Need a Head of Marketing?

  • We have a great team of creative, smart, self-starters, some local and some remote. How do we ensure everyone is rowing in the same direction at the same time to reach our revenue goals?
  • We do a variety of marketing activities like PPC, SEO, email marketing, blogging, social media, trade shows, etc… but which ones are the real drivers and how do we optimize these strategies to scale even faster?
  • Creating new software is expensive and the costs of implementation must be offset by acquiring new customers. What do we need to start doing NOW to see a steady increase in lead growth month over month?

We are looking for someone who will come in, ask these questions (and others we haven’t even thought to ask), help the team get answers, and implement new strategies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Leadership – We have an experienced team who’ve brought us to where we are today. You need to have the people and management skills to get them excited about working with you. Ideal candidates will have proven ability to lead teams to achieve multimillion-dollar revenue gains.
  • Data Driven & Creative – We need an individual who is comfortable using and working with data. Deep knowledge of Google Analytics, AdWords, SEO, A/B split testing, and other data-driven platforms is a must. However, without creativity, it’s easy to say “the data shows it’s impossible”. We’re looking for someone who is capable of stepping back, seeing the big picture, and coming up with new and creative ways of approaching challenges and making positive changes.
  • Hands-On – Ideas and strategy are crucial, but good execution makes them happen. We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience managing people AND campaigns. Coming up with great ideas, bringing them to life, understanding how to analyze their impact, and how to use this data to make better decisions are all integral to the Head of Marketing role.
  • PR Experience – MyMedLeads is looking to integrate more PR with our inbound marketing campaigns. The Head of Marketing will ideally have experience with public relations campaigns, brand awareness, media relations, trade shows, and other PR-related efforts



  • Play a primary role in helping MyMedLeads achieve short and long term growth goals by developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive a high volume of qualified opportunities.
  • Work closely with the sales department to align sales and marketing strategies.
  • Listen to and analyze the trends of the market and calibrate our marketing approach accordingly.
  • Own the marketing budget, with a metrics-driven approach that drives spending and channel optimization to hit growth targets efficiently and effectively.
  • Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team.
  • Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning in order to devise counter-strategies.
  • Oversee the development of sales collateral such as presentations, online experiences, web content, product sheets, case studies and more.
  • Manage a churn reduction program that measurably improves customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Secure speaking opportunities and manage marketing communications for trade shows and other events.
  • Proactively seek out measures to streamline and improve relevant internal operations.
  • Seek out and develop customer success stories to drive the perception of our platform across earned and owned media channels.
  • Create and cultivate strong ties with media partners to help generate press opportunities.
  • Design and pitch content collaboration ideas such as webinars, guest blog posts, affiliate marketing, etc…
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • 5+ years in SaaS Marketing as a manager or director required.
  • Must show past experience in growing companies from $1M-$2M in ARR to $10M+.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive high growth.
  • Ability to be highly analytical and strategic, but also creative and hands-on, with attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • In depth knowledge of market research.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
